If you are looking for assistance to get a project back on track, commence a new complex project, desire to ensure strong governance or risk management in your projects, or want assistance to run a project to reengineer your business processes then I may be your go to person.
Hello, I am Stephen Baxendale. I was born in the UK, migrating to Australia as a family in 1969. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Sciences from the University of Adelaide in 1978 then, after a short spell building applications for defence, I embarked on world travels that led me to stopping in the UK for a number of years where I was engaged as the Business and Systems Manager for L’Oreal Distribution.
Upon returning to Australia with a newly extended family of my own I held a number of high profile roles with SGIC, Elders Merchandise, and then Hindmarsh Adelaide. I become Hindmarsh’s General Manager Lending Systems responsible for loan management, securities, settlements, insurance and credit management sections. In time I assisted to lead the merger with the Cooperative Building Society which then became Adelaide Bank.
In 1992 I moved the family to Canberra to take up a position as Senior Management Consultant with Coopers & Lybrand. In 1996 I formed my own company specialising in Optimising Project Performance where I assisted a large number of private and public sector organisations in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. These clients were representative of organisations in the finance/banking, aviation, energy, defence, and law enforcement sectors. My projects have been as large as $500m to a low of $2m; covering portfolio, program, and project delivery solutions.
Stephen specialises in Project Rescues, New Projects, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Business Process Redesign and Business Analysis
